Communications Head from News Corp. Moves On to Time Inc ...

Another News Corp. executive?gets out of Dodge.

Time Inc. ?has appointed?Teri Everett as executive vice president of corporate communications, effective March 5. In this role, Everett will manage all aspects of corporate communications for the company, including media relations and publicity, executive and employee communications, corporate philanthropy, government affairs and social responsibility. Everett will report to Time Inc. CEO Laura Lang.

Everett was formerly the senior vice president of corporate affairs and corporate communications of News Corp. where she ran the company?s global corporate affairs and communications efforts, including social responsibility, since December 2009. She had been at the company since 2000.

?Teri is well-known throughout the media industry as a premier communications strategist and trusted advisor,? said Lang.? ?One of our priorities is to create a transparent, open dialogue about Time Inc.?s goals and strategies both within the company and to our external constituents.? Teri?s honest and direct approach and strong track record make her the ideal executive to lead our communications efforts.?

We would comment, but we?ll refrain.
